An example is given—the Mexican culture—where Christian beliefs are continuously changing under the impact of certain ideas and practices from the post- modern mind. Contemporary Latin American cultures are a mixture of pre-modern, modern, and post-modern elements. Th e belief in the Trinity is a product of these elements and expresses social, political, and ideological transformations. Th e traditional, dogmatic, Christian teaching of the Trinity is not the main source for comprehension in that situation. Indeed, theological education has not brought enough explanation of the better form to actualize these types of beliefs. Both Catholic and Protestant theologies need a fresh approach to this problem.
