Sankara was probably the first to try to explain that Brahma is unlimited as to place ( desatah ), time ( kalatah ) and being ( vastutah ) in his commentary on the word anantam from the Mahavakya of Taittirıyopanisad II 1. This problem was extensively discussed in the Ramanuja school from Ramanuja to Venkatanatha.
