At least one volume of the series is scheduled to appear year by year. The typewritten form of this first volume will be replaced in future by offset print. Though the authors of the present edition belong to the Institute, a wider circle of scholars will eventually be invited to contribute to the Beitrdge. In addition to rules for transcription (p. 105) and a list of abbreviations (106-107) the present volume contains three papers : 1-49 A.
