Abstract

426 DE NOVIS LIBRIS IUDICIA Italian translation is clear and simple, as far as a foreigner is able to judge; the Greek syntax is not followed too closely, and the whole of it serves somewhat as a substitute of a philological commentary. An appendix containing some of the texts that are most important for the Aristides-myth (i.a. the decree of the Troizen-inscription; the author is sceptical of its authenticity, see Riv. Stor. Ital. 73, ig6i, 345/356), a chronological table and an index conclude the book which has a good claim to an honourable place in the series 1).
