363 The bibliography of the Netherlands from i Sq.i to 1600 now comprises some seven thousand titles, arranged in two card indexes, one of authors, the other of printers, which stand in Blouw's room in Amsterdam University Library. Thanks to the un- stinted co-operation of the Dutch libraries a large number of reproductions from works printed during the period have been produced. After almost twenty years of unremitting labour the bibliography is now approaching its completion. When that day will be cannot yet be said any more than it is now possible to state categorically what form the publication of the results of all the research will take. Modern methods and technology add to the possibilities almost daily. On 27 October 1978 the prize was formally presented to Mr. Valkema Blouw in the upper hall of the Museum Meermanno-Westreenianum in The Hague, where the Nederlandse Vereniging van Antiquaren (Dutch Association of Antiquarian Booksellers) held its annual meeting on the same day.
