In recent years quite a number of computer systems and programs for physically handicapped persons have been developed . These programs range from special text editors with correspondin g input aid and environmental control systems to more or less complexe learning programs o r therapeutical systems . The experiences made have shown that the requirements of physicall y handicapped persons using computer systems can hardly be fulfilled, because the phenomena that is sumed up in the name "physically handicapped" is very complexe and from th e technical point of view can't be standardized . Moreover physically handicaps are ofte n combined with other handicaps such as speech disorders, learning or perception imperfections . For this reason either many products can only be used by a limited numbe r of persons with specific problems or adaptions become necessary.
