Special Coverage of the 75th AMS Annual Meeting Th e 75th (Diamond Anniversary) AM S Annual Meeting was held 15-20 January 1995 at the Loews Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Society, the meeting included a historical look at the atmospheric and related sciences, with both a Symposium on History of the Atmospheric Sciences and special historical papers that were given in sessions of the regular conferences that were part of the meeting. A special Symposium on Imperatives for Atmospheric Sciences Entering the 21st Century also looked to the future o f the atmospheric and related sciences with invited lectures and a "town meeting" that provided an opportunity for broad input from the attendees.
