Spengler GENERAL The 72nd Annual Meeting of the American Meteorological Society will feature the following: INFORMATION Eighth International Conference on Interactive Information and Processing Systems; Eighth Conference on the Middle Atmosphere; Sixth Conference on Satellite Meteorology and Oceanography; Fifth Conference on Mesoscale Processes; Third Symposium on Global Change Studies; Symposium on Planned and Inadvertent Weather Modification; Symposium on Weather Forecasting; Symposium on Historical Currents in Meteorology: Science, Policy, and Politics; Forensic Meteorology Workshop; and Symposium on Education. These meetings will be held Jan. 5-10,1992, at The Atlanta Hilton and Towers. The programs for these meetings appear in this issue of the AMS Bulletin. ACCOMMODATION S A block of rooms at The Atlanta Hilton and Towers has been set aside for the AMS Annual Meeting at a special rate of $79/single and $89/double, plus tax. A small portion of the room charge is allocated to AMS meeting requirements. Convention rates are available until December 1,1991, or until the block is filled.
