The 1998 Book Supplement is composed of titles categorized accord- ing to subject matter, therefore, titles may appear more than once, de- pending on how diverse the topic. Readers interested in viewing original reviews and new publication announcements can do so by referring to the citations after each title. Titles that were announced as a new publication are designated by an "NP" fol- lowed by the issue month and year. The same for a review, "R" desig- nates when the book was reviewed.
