Abstract
Differentiation of Known Strains of BCG from Isolates of Mycobacterium bovis and Mycobacterium tuberculosis by Using Mycobacteriophage 33D Wilbur D. Jones Jr. Center for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia 30333 ABSTRACT The use of mycobacteriophage 33D to differentiate strains of BCG from isolates of Mycobacterium bovis was investigated. The procedure was found to be reproducible and, using the commercially available media described, can be recommended for use in mycobacterial reference laboratories.
