quired from two to six v-isits a day either to the patient by the physician or vice -versa. In excuise of this misstatement it may h)e said that this issule of the BdlUctiii was got out hastily on the eve of the Gubernatorial election in New York State anid sent to the 1.3,000 physicians of New York to advocate the electioni of Judge Miller "not as a political matter but as a matter of professional concerln to every physician in the State." This stand was takeni as a protest to Go.v. Smith's persistenit advocacy of Compulsory Health Insuranice and(l oni accounit of the inhumain, illegal and unscientinHe act of Compulsory Registrationi of Drug Addicts by hiis Narcotic Drug Comnmission in the City of New York. In only three cases was the justice of this action questionied by the physicians addressed. One of the objections to th:s course was made by a Deputy Conmn-issiomer of Narcotic Drug Control, another was maade by a private practitionier and the third by Dr. Wendell C. Everywhere else in the State of New York a similar chanige has takeln place except in the Couincils of the M\edical Society of the County of New York.
