Abstract

Gary Tucker M.D. 1 , Michael Popkin M.D. 1 , Eric Caine M.D. 1 , Marshall Folstein M.D. 1 , and Igor Grant M.D. 1 1 DSM-IV Organic Disorders Work Group Thirteen workgroups and their advisers bear the major responsibiity for developing the fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) by 1993. A work group has been appointed for each major category of disorders and for multiaxial issues. This second DSM-IV in Progress column presents the first of ongoing reports from various work groups about theoretical and practical issues they are trying to resolve.
