Magnetization of Hg 1 - x Mn x Te

Magnetization of Hg 1 - x Mn x Te The magnetization of Hg 1 - x Mn x Te for x values from 0.007 to 0.23 has been measured over a temperature range from about 2 to 25 K and in magnetic fields from 3 Oe to 40 kOe. The results for each x value can be well described by a modified Brillouin function with two fitting parameters x¯ and T 0 . The temperature dependence of the low-field susceptibility is proportional to T α ( x ) , where -1≤α(x)≤0. Models based on random-exchange interactions predict such a power-law dependence. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Physical Review B American Physical Society (APS)

Abstract

The magnetization of Hg 1 - x Mn x Te for x values from 0.007 to 0.23 has been measured over a temperature range from about 2 to 25 K and in magnetic fields from 3 Oe to 40 kOe.
