Heat transfer in the coolant channel of a heat-exchanger system based on fluctuation theories

We present a model to study the heat transfer in the coolant channel of a heat-exchanger system. Such a model introduces thermal fluctuations as well as external noises due to different mechanisms of heat interchange. A unified treatment of both kinds of noise is carried out. The stationary mean value of the channel temperature is studied, obtaining effective transport coefficients which affect the stability of the system. The effects of the different noises are visualized in a correlation length obtained from the temperature correlation function.
