Exponentiation of a class of quantum-chromodynamic infrared divergences

Exponentiation of a class of quantum-chromodynamic infrared divergences The perturbation-theory mechanism for the exponentiation of all infrared divergences in the bare skeleton expansion of the color-singlet fermion form factor is exhibited. It is observed that infrared exponentiation is also a property of many infinite subsums of the full bare skeleton expansion. The method employed, based on an observation by Weinberg in the context of QED, avoids complicated combinatoric and group-theoretic arguments, and holds in any covariant gauge. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Physical Review D American Physical Society (APS)

Abstract

The perturbation-theory mechanism for the exponentiation of all infrared divergences in the bare skeleton expansion of the color-singlet fermion form factor is exhibited. It is observed that infrared exponentiation is also a property of many infinite subsums of the full bare skeleton expansion. The method employed, based on an observation by Weinberg in the context of QED, avoids complicated combinatoric and group-theoretic arguments, and holds in any covariant gauge.
