Japanese Whaling Ships' Sea Surface Temperatures 194684

Japanese Whaling Ships' Sea Surface Temperatures 194684 Japanese whaling ship data, a homogeneous dataset mainly covering the southern high-latitude oceans, may be used to fill in gaps in recent sea surface temperature datasets, contributing a fair number of additional observations in this area. The Japanese whaling ship data are treated separately here for the period 194684, and they show no significant temperature changes during this period in the main fishing region of 6070S or in the west Pacific warm pool. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society American Meteorological Society

Abstract

Japanese whaling ship data, a homogeneous dataset mainly covering the southern high-latitude oceans, may be used to fill in gaps in recent sea surface temperature datasets, contributing a fair number of additional observations in this area. The Japanese whaling ship data are treated separately here for the period 194684, and they show no significant temperature changes during this period in the main fishing region of 6070S or in the west Pacific warm pool.
