frames of reference for scientific and technological activities committees

frames of reference for scientific and technological activities committees frames of reference for scientific and technological activities committees The Scientific and Technological Activities Commission (STAC) has special responsibilities that are specified in its frame of reference, which was published in the August 1980 BULLETIN (61, 824). Committees have been established by the Council on the recommendation of the Scientific and Technological Activities Commission to coordinate viewpoints and stimulate activity in any sci- entific or technological subject of interest to the Society. Current frames of reference1 for the committees follow. The goals of the committee are advanced through national Committee on Agricultural and conferences on agricultural and forest meteorology, through Forest Meteorology special publications, and through studies by committee mem- bers. Crops and trees are the special interest of this committee, since plants are nearly always exposed to variable weather conditions while animals are often sheltered. The seal of the Society dis- plays "agriculture," as this is both the fundamental industry Committee on Applied Climatology upon which our survival depends and an undertaking particu- larly subject to the whims of weather. This committee bears Climate impacts almost all of mankind's endeavors. It affects the Society's responsibility for advancing the application of agricultural planning, economic decision making, aviation and meteorology http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society American Meteorological Society
