Auditor's Report, 1955 62 BULLETI N AMERICA N METEOROLOGICAL SOCIETY American Meteorological Society- Boston, Massachusetts I have examined the balance sheet of the American Meteorological Society as at December 31, 1955, and the related statement of income and expense for the year then ended, have reviewed the accounting procedures of the Society and without making a detailed audit of the transactions, have examined or tested accounting records and other supporting evidence, to the extent deemed appropriate. The examination was made in accordance with generally accepted auditing stand- ards applicable in the circumstances. In my opinion, the statements mentioned above present fairly the position of the American Meteorological Society as at December 31, 1955, and the results of operations for the year then ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles applied on a basis consistent with that of the prior year.
