Abstract This 195 page atlas of the gross and microscopic anatomy of the ear and temporal bone is richly illustrated by photomicrographs of selected sections through the temporal bone, and by artist's drawings of dissections. In addition to the normal anatomy of the structures encountered by the otologic surgeon, some of the more common anomalies are depicted, such as variations in the intratympanic segment of the facial nerve.
