Unfortunately, the otherwise complete anatomical description of the olfactory system does suffer from poor illustrations. This flaw, however, should not deter one from reading these sections of the book, since one will find a great deal of recent information presented in a brief but readable form. I found the chapter on theories of smell to be both thorough and fair, and it certainly leaves the reader with an understanding of how much research still http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Otolaryngology American Medical Association
