Abstract PATHOLOGIC QUIZ CASE 1 Arnold Lester Lazar, MD, Miami, Fla A 55-year-old white man complained of left sided nasal obstruction for four months. The symptoms improved slightly with antibiotics and nose drops. Ten years previously he had a similar episode which required intranasal surgery, antral irrigation, and removal of "polyps" at another hospital.The initial examination revealed a cartilaginous and bony septal deviation to the left. The left middle turbinate had a friable papilliferous lesion on its undersurface.A submucous resection and intranasal removal of the papillomas were performed and the patient remained symptom-free for one and one-half years. Subsequently he developed a polypoid mass in the left middle meatus. A biopsy was taken of the mass and it was found to be the same type of lesion as previously removed (Fig 1).What is your diagnosis?
