Abstract This is a revamped, enlarged, two-volume atlas about fracture treatment which should prove to be of benefit to many physicians who are called to manage patients who are the victims of trauma. As an atlas, it is more extensive than many texts on fracture treatment; and because of its nature, it is more succint, didactic, and useful than such books. The sections dealing with etiological and clinical findings are explicit and sufficiently comprehensive. The use of line drawings to illustrate x-ray film findings and methods of treatment are lucid and will be of help to those less experienced in management of trauma than is the author. Conservative and surgical measures with their indications are well presented without multiple variations to confuse the reader. These volumes should be of great value to the house staff, emergency room physicians, and physicians who manage trauma only infrequently.
