The Dermatologic Surgical Suite: Design and Materials

The Dermatologic Surgical Suite: Design and Materials This article is only available in the PDF format. Download the PDF to view the article, as well as its associated figures and tables. Abstract This manual is one in a series of practical manuals in dermatologic surgery that are designed for trainees and physicians performing all types of cutaneous surgery in an outpatient setting. The book contains seven chapters and two appendixes. Individual chapters address the surgical suite, instruments, supplies, ancillary equipment, sterilization, medical photography, and documentation. One appendix deals with initial purchases; the second, "Equipment Buyer's Guide," lists vendors for items reviewed, indexed by chapter. An alphabetically arranged index is also presented. As the author states, this book defines not only the major types of equipment but also helps with appropriate model selection. I found this manual to be an excellent companion with the others in this series. Illustrations, tables, and photographs are clear, of excellent quality, and are well-balanced and appropriately acknowledged. One senses, throughout, that the author wants very much to share her enthusiasm and considerable experience with the setup and http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Dermatology American Medical Association
