Nebraska State Medical Society. —A meeting of this society will be held in the Federal Building, at Lincoln, Neb., on May 19, 20 and 21. beginning Tuesday afternoon, May 19. The Chicago Medical Society at its annual meeting held April 6, elected the following officers; Harold N. Moyer, M. D., President; Fernand Henrotin, M.D., First Vice-President; Arthur D. Bevan, M.D., Second Vice-President; Junius C. Hoag, M. D., Secretary; Arthur R. Reynolds, M.D., Treasurer; Edmund J. Doering, M.D., Chairman of Publication Committee; D. W. Graham, M.D., Chairman Committee on Library. Delegates were elected to the American Medical Association. The annual address by the retiring President, Dr. L. L. McArthur, was an interesting one, on the technique of Surgical Operations on the Kidney. He advocated the transverse incision. The Tennessee State Medical Society, as already announced in the Journal, will meet in its Sixty-third annual session in Chattanooga, Tenn., April 14, and
