The treatise is in French, well written, and has many illustrations and drawings to supplement the text. The first part of the two volume set is Radiobiologie et Radio pathologie. The general physics and biochemical and cellular effects of various types of radiation are described, as well as the ocular effects of atomic explosions. The second part discusses the effect of X and gamma radiations on the structures of the eye. The results of various levels of radiation on animals and humans are tabulated, as well as many phenomena connected with the radiation procedure.
