Pyriform Sinus Soft-Tissue Mass Recurring in Esophagus After Excision

Pyriform Sinus Soft-Tissue Mass Recurring in Esophagus After Excision In this case report, a woman presented with dysphagia and frequent throat clearing. A right pyriform sinus mass was seen on fiber-optic laryngoscopy. Both CT and MRI confirmed the finding of a hypopharyngeal mass. Immunohistochemical stains revealed tumor cells that were focally positive for myogenin and diffusely positive for desmin and myoglobin. An MRI scan obtained postoperatively demonstrated a persistent mass or swelling. What is the diagnosis? http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png JAMA Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery American Medical Association
