Interest in the psychology of health and medicine has grown rapidly in the last 20 years. A number of excellent journals have emerged that explore this area, including Health Psychology, Annals of Behavioral Medicine, Psychology and Health, and the Journal of Behavioral Medicine. Psychology, Health and Medicine, published three times yearly, offers a new addition to a competitive field. Editor Lorraine Sherr views Psychology, Health and Medicine as a response to and product of evolution in the field toward an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration in health psychology.
