Abstract To the Editor: Ever since reading the devoted dedication to his teacher of his book Glaucoma, I have wanted to know more about Dr. Paul Weinstein's guide and mentor, Professor Emil de Grósz. Now, thanks to Dr. Linksz' at once penetrating and affectionate treatise in "Our Ophthalmic Heritage," this grand, gifted man becomes, once again, very much alive.As a passing thought: surely there must be something in the soil of Hungary which nourishes greatness in her sons. In such diverse fields as nuclear physics (Teller), mathematics (Bolyai), music (Liszt, Bartók, Szell), painting (Csontváry)—to name just a few—tiny Hungary has enriched us all.Thank you, Mr. Snyder, for your inspired editing of "Our Ophthalmic Heritage." Dr. Fishman, of Gainesville, has reserved the first copy of the book, a compilation of the articles in "Our Ophthalmic Heritage."
