Abstract American Academy of Pediatrics Postgraduate Course.—The American Academy of Pediatrics will cosponsor a postgraduate course on the High Risk Newborn with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, May 11 through 13, 1972, under the chairmanship of Thomas K. Oliver, Jr., MD. The format of the course will include lectures, small group discussions with the guest faculty, and a tour of the perinatal facilities at the Magee Hospital for Women. Many aspects concerning the high risk newborn will be discussed, including fetal diagnosis, problems in the immediate neonatal period, neonatal infections, later neonatal problems, and the respiratory distress syndrome.
