Abstract Free Booklet for Parents—"Home Care of the Mentally Retarded Child."—A new 28-page booklet entitled "Home Care of the Mentally Retarded Child," just published by The Training School at Vineland, N.J., has been made available without charge to parents and to those working in the field of mental retardation. The Training School, under its Director, Dr. Walter Jacob, is one of the world's foremost research and demonstration centers in the care, treatment, and training of retarded children, and research into retardation. Founded in 1888, it is a private, nonprofit institution. The 28-page booklet was written by members of the professional staff of The Training School. Areas of psychology, education, communication, health and personal hygiene, leisure and recreational activity, and many other aspects of home care for the retarded child are included in the content.
