Abstract CALENDAR OF COMING EVENTS COURSES GENERAL NEWS Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology. —The Second Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology is being held in the Southern Cross Hotel, Melbourne, Australia, commencing on April 5, 1964, and continuing through April 11.The program includes symposia on Virus Diseases in Ophthalmology and the Prevention of Blindness in the Asia-Pacific Area. Lectures on Recent Advances in the Basic Sciences Pertaining to Ophthalmology are to be presented and there will be nearly 40 free papers on many aspects of Ophthalmology.The Second Norman Macalister Gregg lecture is being given by Professor Ida Mann during the Congress.Exhibits of Scientific Projects and a large Trade Exhibition are also being arranged.All enquiries may be directed to the Secretary, Dr. R.
