E., aged 27, a wood-turner, born in Austria, had been shown before the New York Dermatological Society on Feb. 28, 1928. Bullae had continued to develop in the mouth. Examination revealed irregularly denuded, bright red areas over the roof of the mouth, on the cheeks, and on the soft palate. There was some swelling and eczematization of the umbilicus which was covered with a few flaccid bullae. There were also small vegetating lesions about the anus.The results of the Wassermann test, fungus examination and examination for Vincent's organisms were all negative. Pemphigus Vulgaris. Presented by Dr. Wise. E. A., a housewife, aged 56, born in Germany, was admitted to the Skin Clinic of the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital on Feb. 11, 1928.
