Abstract BY THE time this issue of the Archives reaches you, some of you may have received a copy of the National Program for Dermtology, a project sponsored primarily by the American Academy of Dermatology, but also with the support of the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the American Dermatological Association, the Dermatology Foundation, and the American Board of Dermatology. This document is being sent to each member of the academy, to the deans and the directors of dermatology of each medical school, to medical libraries, and to governmental agencies. It contains far-reaching implications for the future of each dermatologist and for all of dermatology. You are urged to study it, for it involves you. The Ad Hoc Committee of the Academy, under the chairmanship of Dr. Rudolf L. Baer, has worked hard and long to produce this report.
