Love, Atascadero, has resigned as superintendent of the Lewis Memorial Hospital.—Dr. Joseph T. Christian, Gait, has been appointed health officer of Sacramento County to succeed Dr. George H. Sanderson. Folsom City. Hospital News. —The new $1,000,000 Sisters of Mercy Hospital at Sacramento was recently dedicated with appropriate ceremonies.—St. Joseph's Hospital, San Francisco, is conducting a drive for $500,000 for the fireproof construction of the main building. Milton H. Berry Arrested. —Milton H. Berry, Los Angeles, "specialist in paralysis," was arrested, March 9, on a charge of violating the state medical practice act and released on $2,000 bond. His books show that fees charged fourteen patients totaled $29,100.
