Abstract To the Editor.—I have read and reread your excellent editorial entitled "Medical Ethics, Heart Transplantation and Otolaryngology" which appeared in the Archives of Otolaryngology, May 1968. The statements you made in this editorial are potent, courageous, timely and thought-provoking at this critical moment in man's history when the breaking with tradition and the spirit of revolution in every conceivable form appears to be the key to a new society in a brave and dangerous new world. Your editorial brings to mind statements made by Dael Wolfle, in an editorial on academic responsibility published in Science on Oct. 14, 1966. In this respect, I particularly like his statement: "The number who are dishonest, callous or foolish may be small, but frequency is not the issue.
