MANHATTAN DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY

MANHATTAN DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY Abstract Livedo Reticularis with Summer Ulcerations. Presented by Dr. Paul Gross. A woman aged 26 was first seen on Jan. 9, 1957. She has had an eruption on the feet and legs for more than 10 years, aggravated in the summer by swelling of the feet and development of ulcers. At the age of 7 the patient had a swollen, discharging gland on the right side of the neck, associated with laryngitis. When she was 13, her left leg was injured by a truck. The patient works as a secretary, does not smoke, and eats a well-balanced diet. The first attack of ulcerations on the feet developed in August, 1948, after the patient had been job-hunting and on her feet a great deal. The swelling was severe enough to interfere with wearing shoes but subsided after bed rest. In July of the following year a similar episode occurred http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png A.M.A. Archives of Dermatology American Medical Association
