Abstract

—The remains of this heroic medical officer, who perished in the Polar exploring expedition of the ill-fated Jeannette, very recently arrived home under proper escort, and were buried in his native town in the interior of Virginia. Let no one fail to read the interesting obituary notice of him, under the head of Necrology, in the present number of the Journal.
