FIFTY-SECOND REPORT OF PROGRESS IN ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY Abstract CONGENITAL DEFORMITIES Early Treatment of Congenital Dislocation of the Hip. —Putti1 reviewed 119 cases of congenital predislocation of the hip. Complete cure has been obtained in 113. The author advocated routine roentgen examination of the hips of infants in order that the condition might be recognized early and treatment begun immediately by the abduction method.2 This method was applicable to all children under 12 months of age.
