Abstract To the Editor.— We read with interest the letter by E. W. Massey, MD,1 in the March 1978 issue of the Archives, which pointed out the familial occurrence of meralgia paraesthetica. It seems that other entrapment neuropathies, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, can also be familial.We recently reviewed the case of a 53-year-old woman complaining of nocturnal numbness and tingling in the hands.
