Abstract To the Editor.—Reports of clinical observations on the effects of chlorine bleach ingestion differ in their conclusions. Our own experience includes verified stricture formation following the accidental ingestion of diluted as well as the full strength commercial preparations by children. A severe burn was seen recently following a suicide attempt by swallowing a concentrated bleach solution.
