The author presents those aspects of the field which would be of particular interest to the student and general practitioner. However, it has some merit even for the specialist because of the viewpoints which the author presents. In this edition, changes in treatment which have been accepted are introduced where appropriate, but controversial matters are avoided. The contents are presented as follows: Section I—The Nose; Section II—Nasal Accessory Sinuses; Section III—The Pharynx; Section IV—The Larynx; Section V—Endoscopy; Section VI—The Ear. Each section begins with a short anatomical description, and then the author discusses the various clinical entities which are appropriate for discussion. The Appendix and Formulae seem somewhat at odds with the usual methods employed by most large centers here. The subject matter is presented in a direct manner.
