CHEVALIERJACKSON. Dr. Chevalier Jackson gave a résumé of cases observed in the bronchoscopic clinics of Philadelphia during the four months ending Dec. 31, 1928. Of the total number of cases (6,938), 4,339 were consultations, 353 direct laryngoscopy, 1,643 bronchoscopy, 10 tracheotomy and 391 esophagoscopy. During the four months ending Dec. 31, 1923, there were 445 total cases received for examination, 88 per cent of the cases for disease and fifty-one cases for foreign body; while, during the last four months of 1928, only 112 patients with the presence of a foreign body (2 per cent of the total) were treated, and 6,826 cases were referred because of disease.
