CANDIDATES FOR A. M. A. AWARD

CANDIDATES FOR A. M. A. AWARD With the annual A. M. A. convention in Atlantic City coming up in June, members of the Association are encouraged to submit as soon as possible the names of candidates for the Distinguished Service award. Councils or trustees within the various state societies are urged to nominate candidates. The name of the candidate and a biographical sketch outlining his meritorious services should be mailed to the Secretary's office at A. M. A. headquarters. During the Miami meeting last December, the Board of Trustees decided that if a candidate is not selected by the House of Delegates after two years his name will be dropped from the list and not carried over from year to year. The recipient of the award, which is granted for outstanding contributions to medicine and to humanity, is chosen in an election by the House of Delegates at the opening session.
