Three years ago another growth appeared on the right cheek and one behind the left ear. The past treatment consisted of the application of a "cancer paste" by a physician in Delaware, since deceased. When the patient was first seen on Dec. 6, 1954, there was a 12 by 15 cm. raised, fungating mass in front of the left ear and attached to the underlying structures. The central portion was covered with a hemorrhagic crust. The edge was raised, smooth, and rounded. Behind the left ear there was an acorn-sized verrucous mass, which was freely movable. On the right cheek there was a 1 in. (2.5 cm.) long, slightly keloidal scar.
