Benign Intracranial Hypertension: Pseudotumor Cerebri From Obstruction of Dural Sinuses

Benign Intracranial Hypertension: Pseudotumor Cerebri From Obstruction of Dural Sinuses Abstract Four cases of thrombosis of the right transverse sinus are presented. The patients had no otologic disease, and the signs, symptoms, and clinical course in the patients were indistinguishable from other cases of pseudotumor cerebri. Diagnosis was made by late serial angiography in about one third of the cases diagnosed as pseudotumor cerebri. Deterioration of neurologic or visual function may make specific therapy necessary.
