Abstract This slim volume is not in any sense a textbook of gynecology during adolescence, but rather a series of papers given at a recent seminar on this topic. The first three chapters are devoted to endocrinology and hormones; following this are five chapters covering disorders of menstruation, congenital defects, ovarian tumors, hirsutism, and vaginitis. The final three chapters deal with venereal disease, pregnancy, and sex education during adolescent years. In general the chapters are well written and practical, but are not attempts at a complete review of any one subject.
