The woman received treatment with nitrofurantoin for 1 week [route, dosage and therapeutic indication not stated]. Her medical history was significant for psoriasis and Sjogren’s syndrome. She exhibited a non-specific interstitial pneumonia pattern on a CT scan following a febrile response to the drug [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "A third patient with psoriasis developed [non-specific interstitial pneumonia] pattern during the follow-up period, but macrodantin toxicity could not be excluded." Koslow M, et al.
