TY - JOUR AU1 - Smith-Meyer, Anthony AB - [Strategy is frequently process-driven; an adjustment to the use of established tools and practices. Objectives change, as may the implementation, but its execution often remains within the domain of “how we normally do things around here”. Culture change, however, aims at changing the rules of the game. Culture change impacts mindset, and with it, every aspect of governance systems and decision-making. This delicate transformation requires three imperative conditions of change that advance the acceptance of new values such as diversity and permission for the free expression of contrasting perspectives. These are highly personal behaviours. To persuade the community to adopt inclusive values requires strong and visible role-model leadership; group members must share a conviction that values-led behaviours are expected and will be enforced; a living dialogue that favours learning at all levels of the organisation is imperative. Only when these three imperatives combine can we achieve the desired change in culture, behaviours and mindset. To forsake one is to fall short in our D&I objective.] TI - Unlocking the Potential of Diversity in Organisations: #ImperativeConditionsOfChange: What Are the Critical Success Factors?
