It is primarily an analysis of the relations between the Franks and the Vikings in the Frankish world, Western Europe, and the regions covered by these languages. In addition, the works of Scandinavian scholars appear as long as they are written in one of these languages. For example Anne Nissen Jaubert appears three times for works in English (1x) and French (2x) on the settlement of the Vikings in France and the rural organization in the Scandinavian countries (430). One critique nevertheless on the structure of the bibliography: some works mentioned in the book notes are not included in the final bibliography. For example, an article by Florin Curta discussed in note 1 on page 18 and the general work that was used to elaborate the concept of accommodation in the social sciences found in notes 2 and 3 on page 35 is absent. If we can understand that the author did not wanted to add to the bibliography some works less relevant to his topic, it might have
