He became a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1997. He completed a 6-month clinical fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Mercy Private Hospital in Melbourne with Dr. Ian Henderson. After 3 years as Head of the Shoulder Service at University Hospital Amager in Copenhagen, he then founded Parkens Private Hospital together with Dr. Frank Odgaard and Uffe Jorgensen. In a few years, the clinic grew to become one of the major Centers for Arthroscopic Surgery in Scandinavia. Recently Klaus has been appointed Chief Consultant for Arthroscopic Surgery at the University Hospital Herlev, Copenhagen, Denmark.
